The Camp Four to Five Mile Bridge section of Chewuch River is 13 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more     challenging, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Camp Four to Five Mile Bridge stretch is one of them. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your sleeping bag. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Chewuch River without first paying a visit to   Falls Creek Falls. At Chewuch River you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the snow is December; the driest of the months is July. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Chewuch River with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Chewuch River.
