Washington whitewater, Chewuch River

Okanogan county, Camp Four to Five Mile Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS III     13 miles
The Camp Four to Five Mile Bridge stretch of Chewuch River in Washington is 13 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Wenatchee it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The
wonderful Washington scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be
a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Camp Four to Five Mile Bridge stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not
make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great.

Briefly about the general area:
Going for a hike on the North Fork Twentymile Trail is always a perfect adventure, and lots of people from Mazama come here. Having a glorious time in the Northern Cascade Range is simple. Go for a hike on the Bluff Lake Trail, and a tremendous site like Pearrygin Lake State Park is too magnificent to leave out.
