This stretch of Chewuch River in Washington is 8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II+(IV) section of whitewater. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing     to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. The wonderful Okanogan County scenery and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Briefly about the general area: Chewuch River is a location that is rather dried up generally; December is the wettest month with most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. Summer at Chewuch River comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's.
