This section of Chiwawa River is 10 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. The wonderful Washington scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The campgrounds here at Chiwawa River are pretty good. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels
fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people.
Briefly about the general area: The high level of rain makes Chiwawa River a relatively wet site; September is the wettest month
with most rain, and May on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Chiwawa River during the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 80's while the cold winter nights at Chiwawa River are in the 70's.
