If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. This is the only paddling stretch along Christmas Creek. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
