nearby. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. This stretch of Cispus River in Lewis County is 4 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery.
Briefly about the general area: Cispus River frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Throughout the
warm months at Cispus River temperatures are commonly in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Cispus River dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Cispus River is right by the Lily Basin Trail, and hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 24 is pleasant fun.
