Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The wonderful Lewis County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Cispus River beats anything. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. wonderful. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Adams Fork to FR 23 Bridge stretch is just one of many. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip.
Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 70's to Cispus River, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Cispus River temperatures fall to the
