This section of Cle Elum River is 4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. Some people prefer whitewater     rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The Salmon La Sac Creek to Cle Elum Reservoir section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The natural beauty of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Cle Elum River make the trip here worthwhile. Briefly about the general area: Cle Elum River regularly gets lots of precipitation; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. All through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 60's at Cle Elum River. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the   20's while Cle Elum River nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. That right there is a load of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. A short spree to Little Salmon la Sac is always worthwhile, and you can go for a hike on the Red Mountain Trail. This is such a great river. You have to undeniably take a look at China Point while you're here at Cle Elum River. Salmon la Sac is an inspiring location to go to while here; great hiking is available along the Davis Peak Lookout Trail.
