The beautiful scenery of Kittitas County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch of Cle Elum River in Washington is 7.8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Getting some good |
exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one
| day trip. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: During your tour to Cle Elum River you'll meet some folks from Ronald for sure. Have a splendid
hiking adventure along the Hicks Butte Trail. Everybody loves Iron Horse State Park, and since you're here you can take a hike along the North Fork Taneum Trail. This river is so great. Lake Easton State Park is a great
site to go if you're at Cle Elum River. Cle Elum River gets much water. The wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
