The Eightmile Creek to Asbestos Creek Falls stretch of Clear Creek in Snohomish County is 2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV section. The scenic beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one
you always get great scenery along the way too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Clear Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Eightmile Creek to
Asbestos Creek Falls section is the only one. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
