Washington whitewater - Clear Creek, Northern Cascade Range, Snohomish County
Snohomish
county,
Eightmile Creek to Asbestos Creek Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV 2 miles
The natural beauty of Washington and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill
up quick. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Clear Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Eightmile Creek to Asbestos Creek Falls stretch is the only one. And of course, there are campgrounds
nearby. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This section of Clear Creek is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater.
