  The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book

of Clearwater River is 10.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Clearwater Campground to 144 Gross Bridge section is one of them.

For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Clearwater River get into the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows during the winter for Clearwater River tend to be in the 30's.
