  This stretch of Clearwater River - Middle Fork Nooksack Tributary is 1.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. The put-in location is a short drive from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so
    you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There are no other sections to paddle along Clearwater River - Middle Fork Nooksack Tributary than the to Middle Fork Nooksack tributary section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a
