This section of Copper Creek in Washington is 6.1 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. This stretch is mid length,
it's perfect for a one day trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. There are no other stretches to
paddle along Copper Creek than the road's end to East Fork Lewis stretch. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
Briefly about the general area: The high level of precipitation makes Copper Creek a quite wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the warm days of summer here at Copper
Creek, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Copper Creek dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
