Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's     perfect for a one day trip. This is the only paddling section along Deception Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This stretch of Deception Creek in King County is 6.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V+ section of whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Deception Creek gets a great deal of water; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; July is when it's the driest. A short tour to Deception Falls is always worthwhile. Throughout the summer highs here at Deception Creek get into the 60's while night lows are regularly in the 40's.
