This stretch of Donkey Creek in Washington is 3.8 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III+ section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other     states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water have people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Perfection Falls to West Fork Humptulips section is the only paddling section along Donkey Creek. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Donkey Creek gets lots of water; December is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is July. Throughout the summer months highs   here at Donkey Creek get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Donkey Creek drop into the 30's.
