And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. This stretch     is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful Olympic Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The Six Mile Bridge to Dosewallips State Park section of Dosewallips River in Washington is 6.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Briefly about the general area: During the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 60's at Dosewallips River. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through   the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dosewallips River are in the 30's. Dosewallips River is generally a pretty dry spot; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July.
