This section of Entiat River in Washington is 6.7 miles long and is a class III-IV(V+) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd
    better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The wonderful Chelan County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some
kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Cottonwood Campground to FR 5605 stretch is just one of them.

The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Entiat River overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return home again. While you're here at Entiat River you can take a hike along the Duncan Hill Trail; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Entiat Falls. This river has so much to offer.
