If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This stretch of Entiat River is 2.5 miles long and is a class III-IV(V+) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Washington and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.
Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Wenatchee, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are so many
sections to paddle in this river system, the FR 5605 to Tommy Creek trailhead section is just one of many. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.

inspiring place to explore during your stay, and a short tour to Silver Falls is always worthwhile. All through the summer months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Entiat River, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's
while the cold winter nights at Entiat River are in the 10's. This river has so much to offer. The annual rain here at Entiat River is about average; December is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month is July. Box Canyon is a brilliant location to spend some time at, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hunters Trail.
