Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The natural beauty of Chelan County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There's camping available near Entiat River. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. The FR 5605 to Tommy Creek trailhead section is one of many
paddling sections in this river system. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in
one stretch. This section of Entiat River in Chelan County is 2.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV(V+) section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: During the long summer days highs here at Entiat River reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's.
Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Entiat River are in the 10's. Put some time aside to spend at Silver Falls while you're here at Entiat River; Box Canyon is another good place to pop by nearby. That right there is a load
