The Lake Creek Campground to National Forest boundary section of Entiat River in Chelan County is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV+ section of whitewater. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and a chance to spend some     time outdoors will have you coming back for more. If you're coming from Wenatchee it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The scenic beauty of Chelan County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: A normal amount of rain falls here at Entiat River; December is the month that gets the most snow; July is when it's the driest. Be careful   coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return back home again. During the summer months at Entiat River temperatures are commonly in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Entiat River. Near Entiat River you locate Box Canyon which is a nice place to explore, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Hunters Trail.
