This section of Entiat River is 3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV+ section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. This is a bit of a short     stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The scenic beauty of Chelan County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Briefly about the general area: From a precipitation point of view Entiat River is a reasonably typical place; throughout the month   of December you get the most snow around here while July is commonly the driest month. A spree to Box Canyon is always fun; nearby you hit upon the Hunters Trail which is a nice hiking trail. High temperatures at Entiat River through the warm months are in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Entiat River. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Northern Cascade Range.
