The Ardenvoir to Columbia River stretch of Entiat River in Washington is 14.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II+ section of whitewater. The nature scenery of Chelan County and the cool fresh water beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Since you're     on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: A short visit to Byers Canyon Spring Number 1 is always worthwhile, and you might also want to pay a visit to Byers Canyon if you're here at Entiat River. The   annual rain here at Entiat River is about average; December is when you get the most snow here; the driest month of the year is July. At Entiat River during the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Entiat River dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. While you're here at Entiat River you will meet lots of folks from nearby Wenatchee.
