This section of Finney Creek is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Skagit County and the water flowing gracefully down Finney Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming
back for more. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. Finney Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Finney Creek Road Bridge to bridge at mouth stretch is the only one. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in
this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. There's camping available near Finney Creek. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
