This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Foss River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the FR 68 Bridge to Highway 2 bridge stretch is the only one. The campgrounds here at Foss River are pretty good. This stretch of Foss River is 4.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater     to be a class IV+ section. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Briefly about the general area: Head up to Stevens Pass and strap some skis to your feet. For the duration of the long summer days at Foss River highs are regularly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
