The starting location is a short drive from Longview-Kelso, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you     coming back for more. The wonderful Washington scenery and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is the only paddling stretch along Goble Creek. Briefly about the general area: Goble Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December, and July on the other hand is the driest. At Goble Creek throughout the summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Goble Creek are in the 30's.
