Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The beautiful scenery of Clallam County and the water flowing gracefully down Goodman Creek beats anything. This is a very short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. If you're coming from Port Angeles it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. This section of Goodman Creek is 1.3 miles long and is a class III+(V) section of
whitewater according to American Whitewater. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the
great campgrounds nearby. Goodman Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the FR 2931 100 spur access to Soleduck River section is the only one. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places.

gets highs in the 40's while Goodman Creek overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. The high level of precipitation makes Goodman Creek a quite wet place; throughout November this area sees the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. Don't leave Goodman Creek without first going for a hike along the Aurora Trail.
