The natural beauty of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Goodman Creek make the trip here worthwhile. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Port Angeles, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section is very short so no need to bring snacks. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that.
Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Goodman Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the FR 2931 100 spur access to Soleduck River stretch is the only one. This stretch of Goodman Creek in Clallam
County is 1.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+(V) section. When you're paddling down a Olympic Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy.
