South Fork Grays to Highway 4 stretch. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience.
Briefly about the general area: At Grays River through the warm months highs are in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Grays River are in the 30's. The high level of precipitation makes Grays River a rather wet site; through the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
