The scenic beauty of King County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The Headworks to Kanaskat-Palmer State Park stretch of Green River in Washington is 3.5 miles long
and is a class II+(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking,
either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Headworks to Kanaskat-Palmer State Park stretch is just one of them. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes.
