King
county,
Flaming Geyser State Park to 212 Way SE Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II 2.8 miles
The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The wonderful King County scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This is a somewhat short section so no need to bring snacks. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels
fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a short drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, as you can see on the road map further down. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. The
Flaming Geyser State Park to 212 Way SE Bridge section of Green River is 2.8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here.
