This section of Greenwater River in Pierce/King County is 7.2 miles long and has been rated as a class II(IV) section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. coming here. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Great exercise and a chance to spend
some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the FR 7030 Bridge to Highway 410 section is one of them. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
Briefly about the general area: The high level of precipitation makes Greenwater River a quite wet place; the month with most of the rain is November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So much amusing stuff
to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Hiking along the Divide Trail is pleasant fun, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Lester Trail. At Greenwater River all through the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night
it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's while Greenwater River nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's.
