Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Hamma Hamma River are pretty     good. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The put-in location is a short drive from Shelton, as you can see on the road map further down. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.
