If you're coming from Spokane it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations
you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here
are not easy. This stretch of Hangman Creek in Washington is 7.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II+ section. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Lower section is one of them.
Briefly about the general area: All through the summertime months at Hangman Creek temperatures are mostly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hangman Creek temperatures
sink to the 20's. It is very waterless here at Hangman Creek regularly; most of the snow falls through December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. While staying at Hangman Creek you could always explore Hangman Valley, and don't leave Hangman Creek without first paying a visit to Spokane Falls.
