  The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The natural beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Spokane, as you can see on the road map further down. There's camping available near Hangman Creek. Lodging is available near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some
    people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others
too. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. This section of Hangman Creek in Spokane County is 7.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II+ section by American Whitewater.

Summertime at Hangman Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Hangman Creek all through the wintertime generally dip into the 20's. A wonderful site to explore right
 
next door to Hangman Creek is Hangman Valley, and a short spree to Spokane Falls is always worthwhile.
