The scenic beauty of Washington and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. There are no other stretches to paddle along Hoffstadt Creek than the 3100 Road to North Fork Toutle stretch. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit     away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The starting location is a short drive from Longview-Kelso, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 70's to Hoffstadt Creek.
