The Ranger Station to Highway 101 at Oxbow stretch of Hoh River in Washington is 20 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Port Angeles, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Jefferson County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The Ranger Station to Highway 101 at Oxbow
section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want
to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag.

November this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Throughout the summertime highs here at Hoh River get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Hoh River overnight low temperatures during the
