Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The natural beauty of Clallam County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Whitewater paddling here in the Olympic Mountains is a great experience. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels
nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. This section is long enough to

Briefly about the general area: Much rainfall falls at Hoko River; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. For the duration of the summer months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Hoko River, and all through
