Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. If you're coming from Ellensburg it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch of Icicle Creek in Chelan County is 3.5 miles long and is a class II-III+(V) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.
When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a somewhat short section so no need to bring snacks. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Icicle Creek. A large amount of rainfall falls at Icicle Creek; during the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If the weather is good here at Icicle Creek, you can go for a hike along the Icicle Trail.
