The Snow Creek trailhead to Leavenworth Hatchery stretch of Icicle Creek in Chelan County is 2.2 miles long and has been rated as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks.     Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping available near Icicle Creek. The Snow Creek trailhead to Leavenworth Hatchery stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Briefly about the general area: All through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Icicle Creek, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. All through the winter highs   are in the 30's with temperatures at Icicle Creek dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Icicle Creek gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is ordinarily the driest month. A fine site near Icicle Creek is Tumwater Canyon, and going for a hike along the Snow Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
