The to Rockport-Cascade Road section of Illabot Creek is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. The beautiful scenery of Skagit County and the water flowing gracefully down Illabot Creek have people coming here. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Illabot     Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the to Rockport-Cascade Road section is the only one. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: For the duration of the summertime months here at Illabot Creek, high temperatures typically get into the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the   40's; night lows at Illabot Creek through the wintertime typically descend into the 30's. The high level of rain makes Illabot Creek a quite wet site; November is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
