The beautiful scenery of Washington and the water flowing gracefully down Jim Creek will make you feel great. The Naval Station to South Fork Stillaguamish stretch of Jim Creek in Washington is 7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with
mother nature are great reasons to come. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are no other stretches to paddle along Jim Creek than the Naval Station to South Fork Stillaguamish stretch. When
you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here.

about the general area: All through the warm months highs here at Jim Creek reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Jim Creek temperatures sink to
the 30's. Jim Creek is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July.
