Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Yakama Reservation to Leidl Campground stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. This stretch of Klickitat River in Klickitat County is 21 miles long and is rated by     American Whitewater as a class III+ section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Briefly about the general area: Through the summer months here at Klickitat River, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Klickitat River. Klickitat River gets   lots of water; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. A short journey to Indian Ford Springs is always worthwhile; a tour to Klickitat River wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Rock Springs.
