The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Klickitat
Springs to Fishing Access stretch is just one of them. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section is long enough for an overnight
trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The starting location is a reasonable drive from City of The Dalles, as you can see on the road map further down.
