The scenic beauty of Clark County and the water flowing gracefully down Lewis River - East Fork attract people from near and far. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't
matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. The river winds through the Northern
Cascade Range and you get great scenery. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Rock Creek to Moulton Falls Park stretch of Lewis River - East Fork in Clark County is 2.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-V section. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes.
