The starting point is not too far from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Washington scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the     rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Moulton Falls to Lewisville Park stretch is just one of them. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Lucia Falls is a perfect local attraction. The high level of rainfall makes Lewis River - East Fork a quite   wet location; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. All through the warmest time of the year at Lewis River - East Fork highs are generally in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lewis River - East Fork are in the 30's.
