If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The wonderful Washington scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. This section of Lewis River - North Fork is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The wild scenery
of the Northern Cascade Range is great. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes. There are
so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Twin Falls to FR 88 section is just one of many. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
