This stretch of Lewis River - North Fork is 4.5 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Great exercise and
just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. The nature scenery of Cowlitz County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Not too
many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
