The Matthew Creek to Little Naches Campground stretch of Little Naches River in Washington is 9.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III+(IV) section. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Whitewater paddling here
in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The wonderful Washington scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The nearby
hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The Matthew Creek to Little Naches Campground stretch is the only paddling stretch along Little Naches River.
Briefly about the general area: Little Naches River is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rainfall; through January this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the
driest month. Throughout the summer months here at Little Naches River, high temperatures typically reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Little Naches River. Hiking
along the Manastash Ridge Trail is delightful fun, and West Quartz Creek Falls is a stunning place to visit while you're at Little Naches River. All year is a good time in the Northern Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. Little Naches River is right by the Mount Cliffty Trail.
