The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The natural beauty of Lewis County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.     This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are no other sections to paddle along Little Nisqually River than the Winston Creek to Alder Lake section. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Little Nisqually River tend to be in the 30's.
