The Boulder Creek to Washougal River section of Little Washougal River in Clark County is 6.8 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The scenic beauty of Clark County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. You might be into
whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. This section
is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Boulder Creek to Washougal River section is one of them. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful.

River gets lots of water; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the months of summer highs here at Little Washougal River reach the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Little Washougal River.
