This section of Little Washougal River in Washington is 6.8 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Little Washougal River are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one     day trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. The Boulder Creek to Washougal River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 70's at Little Washougal River, and during summer nights temperatures are in the   40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Little Washougal River descend into the 30's.
