Washington whitewater - Little Wenatchee River, Northern Cascade Range, Chelan County Chelan county, Fall Creek to Lake Creek Campground section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS IV-V     3.5 miles   This stretch of Little Wenatchee River in Washington is 3.5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. This section is quite short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and     over. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Little Wenatchee River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Fall Creek to Lake Creek Campground stretch is the only one. Briefly about the general area: Through the warm months at Little Wenatchee River temperatures are ordinarily in the 60's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Little Wenatchee   River. Little Wenatchee River is a wet site that gets much rainfall; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is frequently the driest month.
