This section of Little White Salmon River is 5.5 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V+ section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Skamania County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Little White Salmon River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Willard to Columbia River section is the only one. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state     you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. The beautiful Central Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There's camping available near Little White Salmon River. Briefly about the general area: Summer at Little White Salmon River arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the dark hours of   summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows at Little White Salmon River through the winter regularly plunge into the 30's. Little White Salmon River is a reasonably wet place regularly with a lot of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July.
