  The natural beauty of Okanogan County and the water flowing gracefully down Lost River attract people from near and far. The Drake Creek to Methow River confluence section of Lost River in Washington is 12 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better
    not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. The Drake Creek to Methow River confluence section is the only paddling section along Lost River. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just
hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag.

Briefly about the general area:
While you're here at Lost River you can take a hike along the Monument Creek Trail. Not much rain falls here at Lost River; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest.
