Okanogan county, Drake Creek to Methow River confluence section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS IV-V     12 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an
added bonus. Lost River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Drake Creek to Methow River confluence stretch is the only one. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section of Lost River in Okanogan County is 12 miles long and is according to
American Whitewater a class IV-V section of whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near.
