Washington whitewater - Martin Creek, Northern Cascade Range, King County
King
county,
along FR 6710 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS V+ 3 miles
The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The natural beauty of King County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This section is quite short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting
or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. This is the only paddling section along Martin Creek. The along FR 6710 stretch of Martin Creek in King County is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater.
The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
