There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The campgrounds here at Methow River are pretty good. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The wonderful Okanogan County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Methow     River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Now this is a pretty long section, so better bring your camping gear along. Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 80's to Methow River. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Methow River dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
